We are using the courts, but the people do have basic rights that they can exercise even when the law says otherwise. Prohibition was a classic example of this.

The Supreme Court hasn’t ruled on so-called assault weapons, and the Second Amendment doesn’t leave room to ban them. You ask about the violations of the National Firearms Act of 1934, and my answer is to be patient. We’ll get around to removing that atrocity soon enough.
