The Oscars: an exercise in futility

I am informed by my current favorite search engine — SearXNG, since it works with my VPN and does not track me — that the ninety-sixth award show of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will be held on Sunday, the 10th of March of this year. This is as much as I have bothered to find out about said event, and if I can avoid any more information on the subject, I will do so.
