Regarding Mike Pence and graduation
Some people may consider the walkout from Mike Pence’s address at the graduation ceremony at Notre Dame this year as an act that ruined the festivities for both the people who walked out and the ones who stayed. However, as someone who has suffered through multiple such events, I can say that I have at best only scraps of memories of any of them. And most of those are recollections of how utterly boring the day was.
The graduates who expressed their political opinions by renouncing Mike Pence and everything he shills for have the privilege of being able to look back at their ceremony and saying that it resides in their minds as having meant something.
Good for you, and don’t ever pass on a chance to get your Irish up in the face of tyranny.
